Message in a Bottle Campaign
Message in a Bottle - Challenging the Conditions of recently granted local Liquor Licence.
Recently, a liquor licence has been granted to operate from the local shops on Rosella Ave. In late 2008 the Association led and won an objection to the Director of Liquor Licensing. Following this decision, an appeal was submitted to VCAT and on 19th October this decision was overruled and a licence was granted. Whilst the Association's objection has meant that there will be no home delivery service attached to this licence as was requested by the applicant, the group is concerned that the trading hours granted will be detrimental to the community. As a result the Association have decide to challenge the conditions of the licence and need the support of local people to reduce trading hours. Your message to VCAT is for our children and families and it is needed to make a difference so please join us in making it heard. To sign the message in the bottle or for further information please contact Heathdale Neighbourhood Association on 8742 3125.
